Assistant Secretary General

Ngangeh Chrisogonus TANKO is an experienced professional in the field of monitoring and evaluation (M&E), with a strong foundation in M&E skills and networking capacity. He has a comprehensive background in M&E, professional networking, and organizational management.
TANKO has actively participated in M&E professional networks, engaging with professionals globally to enhance his coordination and networking abilities. He has held positions in the Monitoring and Evaluation and Information Management Office of reputable international and local organizations in emergency interventions, including INTERSOS, Plan International, International Rescue Committee, and Caritas Bamenda. Additionally, he has served for six years as an Accountant and Admin Secretary in a development context with Caritas Kumbo, showcasing his multidisciplinary expertise.
TANKO holds a master’s degree in Project Management from the International University Bamenda (IUB) and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Pontifical Urban University in Rome, providing a strong academic foundation for his practical M&E skills.

As the Deputy Secretary General of CamSEE, TANKO is responsible for managing Capacity Building Activities, which have resulted in training over 50 individuals in key M&E areas. Furthermore, he oversees the CamSEE Mentorship program, moderating and coordinating mentors for 10 individuals, participating in partnership negotiations with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon. These partnerships aim to provide mentorship program participants with professional internship opportunities in CSOs as M&E interns, fostering the growth of the evaluation culture in Cameroon and beyond.
TANKO is dedicated to encouraging young and emerging evaluators to develop their monitoring and evaluation skills, emphasizing the importance of cultivating a robust evaluation culture for greater impact.
Overall, TANKO’s extensive experience, technical competencies, and leadership in capacity building and partnership development position him as a valuable asset to the field of monitoring and evaluation, benefiting CamSEE directly and the community of practice indirectly.
