Announcing the 2024 Youths in Evaluation Week: Upholding Youth in Evaluation Standards
The Cameroon Society of English-Speaking Evaluators is thrilled to announce the upcoming 2024 Youths in Evaluation Week, scheduled to take place from July 8th to July 12th, 2024, at the University of Bamenda and online. This year’s theme, “Upholding Youth in Evaluation Standards,” underscores the vital role of youth in shaping the future of evaluation practice and promoting excellence in evaluation standards.
The 2024 Youths in Evaluation Week will feature a diverse array of activities aimed at empowering young evaluators, promoting awareness of evaluation principles, and fostering collaboration among youth-led initiatives. The event will include:
Campus Awareness Campaign
Throughout the week, students at the University of Bamenda will participate in a dynamic campus awareness campaign to raise awareness of the importance of evaluation and its relevance to youth-led initiatives. Interactive activities, workshops, and presentations will engage students in discussions on evaluation concepts, methodologies, and applications.
Radio Sensitization
A series of radio programs and broadcasts will be conducted to reach a wider audience and promote an understanding of evaluation principles among youth and community members. Radio sensitization sessions will feature interviews, panel discussions, and call-in segments to encourage listener participation and dialogue on evaluation-related topics.
Online Training
As part of the Youths in Evaluation Week, online training sessions will be conducted to provide youth participants with practical skills and knowledge in evaluation methodologies, tools, and techniques. Interactive webinars, e-learning modules, and virtual workshops will enable participants to enhance their evaluation competencies and contribute to youth-led evaluation initiatives.
